Shannon graduated from Yale University with a BA in History. After college, she completed Lehman Brothers' Analyst Program as a member of the Structured Finance Group, and then worked in the Firm's Middle Market Equity Sales/Private Client Group. While at Lehman, Shannon was very active in recruiting, reading hundreds of resumes and frequently interviewing candidates ranging from college grads to MBA grads. This experience helped her to hone her sense of what made candidates stand out to prospective employers (and business school admissions officers). Shannon then returned to Yale for her MBA (2005), and spent a summer as an intern at the investment firm Allen & Co., an experience she values tremendously. She founded Collegiate Compass LLC while in business school, and has since worked with students from across the country and around the world as they apply to college and business school.
